Banff Springs Hotel was completed in 1888

Eventually we decided to go take a look at the famous Banff Springs Hotel built at the location of the hot springs. This picture borrowed from Canadian Rockies, published by Irving Weisdorf & Co. Ltd., gives a view of the hotel that is nearly impossible for the casual photographer to capture. It gives an idea of the immensity this hotel. Additional buildings of the complex are on the left side of the picture.

This building is across from the back entrance of the hotel, and houses a number of guest services including a bowling alley.
