Well, Here it is: London Bridge.
Remember the old song? This bridge doesn't look like it's falling down, to me.
Can you imaging dismantling this bridge, numbering all the stones, shipping it
from London, then reconstructing it again? According to Roadtrip America Robert McCulloch paid $2.4 million for it. But that price didn't include dismantling, shipping, and reconstruction. I wonder what that must have cost.
See
Roadtrip America for more details.
The purpose of moving the bridge here was to attract attention to the new town
that was in development. Judging by what we found at Lake Havasu City, we believe he was successful. We were amazed at the size of the place. This town is litterly in the middle of nowhere. There was nothing to attract people here except a lake and a bridge.
