The Passing Parade at Mariner's Haven on Race Point Road
3:30 PM ~ View From the Balcony
4:26 PM ~ A load of logs for the nearby sawmill.
Holland America Ship, ms Zuiderdam
They wait for high tide to navigate the Seymour Narrows.
All ships plying the inside passage use professional pilots that are especially trained
to navigate these confusing and sometimes treacherous waters. A check of the map of this area and that to the north, will show numerous islands. It would be most difficult to visually choose the correct path.
How do they control all those logs?
