8:36am: We watch a plane take off while waiting to board the ferry.
The bridge
MV Coho awaits our group to board.
We thought it odd, that the US Immigration officer checking identification of those waiting to board the ferry displayed irritation that we didn't have our passports with us. He indicated that we should have had them. We have never been asked for them before when reentering the US from Canada. And in May 2006 this was a full seven months before they were to be required
for people entering the US on airplanes.
