A Photo Safari

October 2, 2000

As part of the Zoological Society of San Diego, the Wild Animal Park is involved in numerous conservation projects around the world. Projects range fron preservation of local habitats here in our own "back yard" to panda conservation in China. Captive breeding of endangered species plays an important role in projects both here and abroad. When you visit the Wild Animal Park and Zoo and participate in their programs, you too support conservation around the world.

East African Crowned Cranes enjoy life semi-exposed to the public near a small pond.
The park not only displays wild animals in large habitats, but it is a botanical garden as well.
They were getting ready for a crysanthamum display when we were there.
