Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse
This is the only one of its kind in the Western Hemisphere. The teahouse was given to Boulder as a sign of friendship from Boulder's sister city, Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The teahouse was handcrafted by over 40 Tajik artisans who used lavish decoration and color to express the Tajik culture. In Tajikistan, teahouses serve as community centers where people gather to drink beverages, tell stories, hear news and socialize. | ||
