Our schedule allowed only a quick overview of the city, and we enjoyed a visit to Pearn Street Pedestrian Mall which is filled with home-grown shops of all kinds. Unfortunately, like other places that have become popular shopping spots, the national chains have begun to invade, so the homogenization process has started.
We ate dinner at the Cheesecake Factory — a chain that doesn't look like one. Later, I wished I had taken a picture of the table before we began to eat. Way too much food was beautifully served on a platter for each of us!
