The Day After
The flag flies at half-mast on the day after September 11th, and for many days to come.
Built in 1841, at the yard of Jethro and Zachariah Hillman in New Bedford, Massachusetts, she has outlived all others of her kind.

We learned that the term yard arm is usually misused. The yard arm is actually the capping piece on the end of the yard. It is that part that is past the pullies controlling the ropes.
