Rapid City
South Dakota

Day 3, August 15, 2001

Do you get so frustrated that you feel like climbing the walls?
How about a rope?

Be sure to feed the parking meter — NOT!

Fits like a glove — or a hand

A very unrestaurant façade.

45 minutes and we're out of here!

This parking lot filled in a matter of a very few minutes.
They're across from a park not too far from the I-90.
Here's more information.

Rapid City is well named. This looks like one of those hot towns growing rapidly.
There are lots of things for the visitor to do here. Families will find lots more than visits to the monuments to entertain the youngsters. The highway south of town is lined with one entertainment complex after another.

We head toward Badlands National Park next.
