Court House Square: Pearl & Houston Streets
Pearl Street is the "main drag."
This view was captured on a light travel day in mid-December 2004.
Travelers of 3 US highways navigate the 4-way stop signs on Court House Square to get through Granbury, and the down-town merchants wouldn't have it any other way. Timing was tricky on this shot in order to not end up with a portrait of a string of vehicles—work trucks, moving vans, SUVs, pickups, Cadillacs, and Town Cars—the usual mix.
Some shops along Houston Street
The Merry Heart Tea Room
Bright December sunlight streams in on the early crowd as they enjoy the trendy heart-healthy luncheon menu. This busy store features an eclectic mix of antiques in the front of the store.
Houston Street Mercantile
Quilters run this interesting store. Not only do they have quite a few examples of their handy work on sale here, but they stock a large inventory of fabrics and supplies for the quilter. Do you have a moment to step inside?
