After a short drive northwest out of San Antonio, we arrived at the OST Restaurant just in time for breakfast. Our Florida friends were delighted with the authentic country ambiance of the cafe.
(The trophy is actually an elk, and they don't roam these hills.)

Ernst mounted one the saddles that serve as stools at the counter, and Gertrude gave him a hug.
The light fixture was decorated with antlers that have been molted by the local deer.
