Lady With Flowers
Although it was only mid-afternoon in Seattle, by the time we checked into the Weston Hotel, we were really exhausted from the trip to DFW Airport, the 2+ hour wait to board the plane, the 4-hour plane trip, and getting to the hotel. We were ready to crash, but thought a walk in downtown Seattle would help work out some of the kinks. We had seen people arriving at the hotel with beautiful boquets of flowers in hand, like the lady at right, and found they had been to the famous Pike Place Market to get the flowers. That seemed to be a good destination for our walk.
Armed with a map of the downtown area, we set out on our quest. After we started walking, we soon learned we were walking in the wrong direction. After the false start, we made our way to the waterfront with no further difficulties.
