Winfield Inn

Day 5, Friday, August 17, 2001

We arrived at the Winfield Inn in Bayfield to find it fragrant with flowers.
This is the entry to the office. The area is a showcase for the wares of local craftsmen.

Our 2nd floor room had an excellent view of Lake Superior.

The light's getting a bit dim for picture taking, but I had to step on the balcony and capture the view. The owners remind us of the folks who own the Halcyon Heights B & B in Homer, Alaska in that they are anxious to improve the property and frequently have projects going. The TLC provided by their personal attention is in evidence everywhere.

They recommended Maggie's for supper. It was great, stop by sometime while you're in Bayfield. The place is so popular the line goes outdoors and up the sidewalk to the corner at times. Bayfield is a popular getaway for Duluth people.
