We have wanted to take a cruise to Australia ever since we saw that Crystal Cruises offered one in August of 2000 at a price greatly reduced from their other cruises to that destination. We almost reserved a cabin on that one until we realized that the cruise coincided with the Olympic Games to be held in Sydney.
The ship was to be used as a hotel during the games. Finally the right cruise has come along at a very good price too. So, off we go to explore a bit of the great land down-under and a good bit of the Pacific as well. In addition to Sydney, we plan to see the Blue Mountains, the Great Barrier Reef, rainforest, and native village.
