These panoramas were taken from the balcony of an entertainment/shopping complex at the top of the mountain where we stopped for a rest/shopping break. We always stop at a place where we can shop no matter where we are. We are looking out to the Atlantic on the northeast side of the island. Very quickly, clouds came up and we were in a fog.

Back in Acapulco, I showed you a picture of a tour bus, and said they were pretty much everywhere. Well, they are, but in St. Thomas the busses do not look like those in other regions. We rode on benches mounted in the back of trucks. They did have roofs to shade the passengers, and plastic side curtains, which we used to keep the rain off. You get steamy very quickly with the side curtains buttoned down. But, when the curtains are rolled up, there's nothing between your camera lense and your subject, so far as your bus is concerned.

Photo of lush vegetation.

This is no desert island. The vegetation is very green and plentiful. We did see a lot of houses damaged from a hurricane that struck about five years ago.
