Workers Caught In The Act
It's always planting time for something.
This is a labor-intensive operation. The gardens employ 50 full-time gardeners plus an additional 12 part time. They operate 26 greenhouses. In the gardeners are included in the 290 staff members employed in the off season. This number swells to 550 in peak season.
The gardens open to the public cover 55 acres.
