Tofino

The Oldest Church
This church was built in 1913, long before visitors made the trek across the mountains to enjoy Tofino's georgeous scenery, fantastic fishing, and surfing waves.

Even though Tofino has become a mecca for artists and the tourist industry, it maintains much of its original character of a native fishing village.

The Co-op, pictured below, is the place to buy groceries, and clothing as the sign advertises. There is very little shopping in this tiny town—the factory outlet malls definitely haven't found Tofino, and the nearest Wal-Mart is 78 miles over the mountains in Port Alberni.

The Co-op is the place to shop for nearly all your needs.
We did discover that they have a couple of liquor stores in town.
