This salt pond is part of the National Seashore property,
and in just below the Visitor Center. Geologists have determined
that the salt pond was formed by the melting of an ice bolder,
lodged in the surrounding soil and debris, at the end of the ice age.

Birds stopped by the pond to do a little hunting.
