High Tide

The formations, caused by wave erosion, are often called flower pots because they can look like clay pots on pedistals with plants growing out of the tops.

The Sea The tide is high now at 1:25 PM. It's fairly close to the highest tide of the day for this time of year. We stayed at a B&B in nearby Hillsborough intending to come back and take pictures at low tide in the morning. We came back, but those who run the park obviously are not interested in opening the gates to let visitors in to see it. So, we'll have to make do with a picture scanned from a postcard for the contrasting shot.

Low Tide

We really didn't want to go down there and tromp around in the mud, just take a couple of pictures from the bluff.
