Applachain Trail hikers celebrate their achievement of the summit.

I had to wonder why the summit of this mountain is covered with boulders instead of just raw granit mountain. This fact kind of makes one realize how old these mountains are, and that the glaciers of at least one ice age must have had something to do with the shaping of this mountian.
