Southern New Jersey
Day 34: Sunday, September 16, 2001
Apple Orchard
We bid our friends a fond goodbye and were soon on the New Jersey Turnpike headed south.
Rural Southern New Jersey
We drove down the coast, though we saw little of it. We passed some wetlands where shore birds would make their homes. The tollway gave us a pleasant drive. No trucks are allowed!
We stopped at a fruit stand, and enjoyed the local apples the rest of the way home.
Chesapeake Bay comes next.
