View Point: Ferry Landing, Weehauken, NJ

Day 34: Saturday, September 15, 2001

Once again the camera gravitates toward Ground Zero as if hoping to find the pre-September 11^th skyline, and find that it was all a bad dream. A Speck hovers over the site, and a ferry arrives.

The speck, apparently satisfied with his catch of the day will make the evening news.
Did you notice? There's an aircraft carrier docked at the pier on the right edge of the picture.

Here 'Tis

Several navy small ships flank the carrier, prepared to fend off any attack from the river.

The Empire State Building dominates the skyline.

We will go into the city a little later. Please come along with us.
