Day 34: Saturday September 15, 2001
Sailors and Soldiers Monument
Oops! This picture was originally identified as Grant's Tomb. Berl K., a native New Yorker, was alert and kind enough to send the correct identification for this picture. We were driving along Riverside Drive through the beautiful Riverside Park,
and this was one of the first things we saw. It was nearly 5 PM on a Saturday, but traffic was not as heavy as usual, so he could pull over to the curb so we could get this picture.
Apartment Buildings at 83rd St. and 5th Avenue.
