Estrellas Del Rio
Jarabe Tapatillo
Most of us who have grown up in the southwestern United States are familiar with this popular Mexican dance. But we are not used to seeing the dancers clad in such lavish costumes for this old folk dance. It's not too easy to discern from the picture, but the designs of girls' skirts were done in solid sequins.

Someone had to hand sew each and every sequin into the design of each of the skirts.
The costumes were outstanding for the whole show, but these were exquisite.

After the rousing rendition of the hat dance, we were vicariously transported to Buenos Aires as they treated us to a tango from the Argentine.
