The sun cast long shadows through the trees as we climbed Boulder Mountain. This was beautifully forested mountain country. At this early hour, the wild life was near the road, as were the cattle in this open range country. We had to watch carefully as we rounded each curve.

There weren't a lot of overlooks, but those that were there were well worth the time to stop. You can see forever from Boulder Mountain.
