The Jupiter and 119
These locomotives hauled the dignitaires to Promontory Summit, Utah for the ceremonies and celebration of joining of the tracks making it possible to cross the continent by rail for the first time in history. The ceremony was held May 10, 1869. A hundred years later, we celebrated another milestone in history. Man landed on the moon in June or July of 1969.
