One Last Shot

This is our parting shot of Lake Roosevelt. Very quickly we were in the basalt scablands then back into the rolling farmlands east and southeast of the dam.

No doubt irrigated by water impounded by Grand Coulee Dam, these hills support fields of grain and other crops. These were some of the most beautiful fields of grain we have ever seen. Strangely, we saw no evidence of the irrigation system they used!
