Island of Kauai

Almost everyone has seen the movie, South Pacific at one time or another. Do you remember the magical, and mysterious island of Bali Hai? Well, this ridge on Kauai played that roll in the movie.

Bali Hai looked as if it was just a steep peak rising out of the water, so they had to film it from the end of the ridge, so they didn't show that it was attached to a larger land mass. But we can easily see how they got the misty effect. It was shrouded in mist when we went by.

Now, we're on the north side of the island opposite the Na Pali Coastline.
