Seven Pools

Waterfalls cascade down from the bluff above to scower out seven pools. This is a popular picnic area, and people love to play in the pools under the waterfalls.

The pools continue all the way to the surf that pounds the rocks.

The path from the parking lot passes by some ruins of ancient temples.
Notice that people respect these ruins, and have left them alone.

People watch the surf from the cliff above the rocky shore near the seven pools.

Don't swim in these waters near the Seven Pools, or near the mouth of any of the other rivers. Here's why: Nutrients that are washed down the rivers to the sea attract small fish to feed there. The small fish attract bigger fish to feed on them. Many of those bigger fish that are attracted to such an area are called sharks.
