Living on Tutuila Island
Church On The Shore
The first European Christian missionary, Englishman John Williams of the London Missionary Society (LMS), arrived in 1832. Williams and his followers had a profound impact on Samoans and their culture. The Samoans continue to be quite religious and enjoy the
activities provided by their churches.

Village Shopping

There is a sense of two worlds—a quickly moving commercial mainland world
and a slower paced world of traditional village and family life—
that somehow occupy the same space and time.
