The Marina and Our Departure
A Tender At The Pier
Actually we would have stayed in town longer if we would have found a place to eat lunch,
but we decided to go back to the ship for lunch.

The Opening in the Reef
This is the opening in the reef that allows small boats in to the pier.

The Needle
The formation known as the Needle in the center of the island is prominent in this picture.
Actually, the Needle is a volcanic neck, or lava that has solidified in the throat of the
volcano and then the softer materials have been eroded away from it.

It Was Anchors Aweigh at 5:00 PM.
And we were away from the island by 5:51 PM when this picture was taken.
We had a most pleasant visit to the island, and it became the favorite of the passengers
as they had more experience with other islands. This is definitely the place to go if you
want good beaches away from the crowds of todays popular tourist destinations.
We will have a sea day then the pictures from Pago Pago, American Samoa will be next.
