The Big Bridge Over The Erie Canal
Lockport, New York

This is the third "Big Bridge" they have built across the canal. They say this is one of the largest in the world. The sign tells us that it replaced a bridge that was 105 feet wide. But it doesn't reveal the width of the "largest!" We have no doubt of what they say. How many bridges hold a parking lot and the intersection of street running tangent to the main thoroughfare of the bridge! The fence in the foreground marks the edge of the canal.
