Maryland's Eastern Shore
Robert Morris Inn in Historic Oxford
Day 36: Monday, September 17, 2001
The Robert Morris Inn
This historic inn has been housing guests since 1710. It is one of the oldest inns in the United States.
Dining Room
We had read about their famous crab cakes, and we waited until they opened for lunch at noon. We definitely were not disappointed. Here's a link to their Web site.
James Mitchner, spent time here while doing his research for the novel, Chesapeake, and declared their crab cakes the best. Although others do a good job, we tend to agree with him.

Murals Decorate Some Rooms
We ate in a room decorated like an colonial pub.
The blue plumbagos attracted butterflies while we were there.
