Ellis County Museum on the Courthouse Square.

Also on the square on the east side of the courthouse is the Chisolm Grill. Although not illustrated here, that's a good place to stop for a meal while you are in downtown Waxahachie. Every table gets a delicious, fresh-baked loaf of bread
no matter what the order of the day may be.

The elaborate train depot was built in a style similar to the courthouse.
One wonders which building inspired the design of the other,
the courthouse or the depot.

This victorian house is an example of many in this city.
