We were ready to get an early start to Moab, but not before filling up with gas at the automated pumps in Boulder. We were down to ½ tank, and you just don't ever want to drive on the lower ½ of the tank when you're in country like this. We asked if there was gas in Torrey, the next town of any size, and the answer was no. We later discovered that there is a new station there, but you'd never see it unless you turned east, away from town towart Capitol Reef National Park.
