This costumed lady was one of several available for picture posing for a dollar outside the shops at Las Bovedas, a.k.a. "The Dungeons." This ancient building was converted into an artisans' center for leather goods, wood cardings, coffee, and much more. This where I found the mola art piece, from which the matting of these picture frames were derived. I just wish we had longer to browse there, only about ten minutes. There were lots of interesting things to see in those shops.

The pictures below were snapped from the moving tour bus. They're not great, but do give an idea of what the city looks like.

You can be sure that the tourist areas are jammed with tourists and all the vendors they attract, but they're not everywhere.
