A Short Tour of the Ellis County Courthouse

They were taking no chances with jury tampering in Ellis County!
Here, we can see that they saw fit to install a heavy steel safe door
on the room juries use for their deliberations.
Perhaps the District Clerk also stored the county funds.
Here's the room as it appears today.
